I am a PhD student in Physics and Earth Sciences at Leipzig University under the supervision of Prof. Miguel D. Mahecha and Dr. Karin Mora. My research is kindly funded by the Center for Scalable Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence ScaDS.AI.

In my PhD project I am exploring the consequences of extreme events on the environment using Machine Learning models and approaches from Dynamical Systems theory. Before starting this line of research I have worked on a master thesis looking into the criticality and complexity of Reservoir Computing models using Cellular Automata.

For more detailed information about my research direction and current effort make sure to check out my personal website.
