I’m a PhD candidate in the working group Land Cover & Dynamics at the Department Remote Sensing of the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ and at Leipzig University. My PhD focuses on analyzing forests in Germany across various spatial scales by integrating different remote sensing data, such as LiDAR-based canopy height models and satellite data products. I am interested in assessing forest structural attributes and their interactions with forest biodiversity. By combining remote sensing and inventory data analyses, I am exploring the potential and constraints of using remote sensing technologies for monitoring forest structure and biodiversity from a nature conservation perspective.
