I’m a PhD candidate at Leipzig University who is fascinated by the combination of fieldwork and artificial intelligence in ecology. My research interests include the interaction of plant functional traits and biodiversity as well as their practical implications for global land use. I work with deep learning algorithms in order to extract plant trait information from photographs and hyperspectral remote sensing data.
