Scientific Technician & Research Software Engineer / Remote Sensing Department (UFZ)

Department Remote Sensing, Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ

I develop tools around our hyperspectral remote sensing sensor system Hyspex. Mainly the georeferencing, VNIR/SWIR alignment and some GPS/IMU processing.

I am further responsible for the atmospheric correction of these data using ATCOR.

Beside this I am responsible for the software stack of our 4 channel Skye sensors. These sensors measure downwelling irradiance from the sky and reflected upwelling radiance from the ground. These stationary sensors are mounted at the eddy flux towers in Hohes Holz and Großes Bruch.
